White Baitfish Baby Buzzbait™

White Baitfish Baby Buzzbait™

$7.99

Choosing Lees Compact Baitfish Buzzer Vegetation Tamer bass will typically strike a buzzbait when water temperatures are around the high 50s degrees Fahrenheit; many consider this the optimal range for using a Baby Buzzbait™.

My blade design has an unmatched slow speed and squeak that cannot be ignored. The key to topwater types of lures is to imitate a fleeing or dying baitfish, bluegill and even a frog. When using the Lees Compact Baitfish Buzzer, anglers find its gurgle and slow speed action irresistible for bass.

The Baby Buzzbait™ by Lee Bailey Jr is the newest and brightest star on the buzzbait market. Lees new buzzer has many characteristics and features that make it the only choice for fans of an all day usage.  Lees Compact Baitfish Buzzer is one of the easiest topwater lures you can fish. It can be fished over cover, through grass, or in open water.

Lees Compact Baitfish Buzzer “The Most Compact Buzzbait Ever”

Fishing Lees Compact Baitfish Buzzer is a classic topwater strategy. A baitfish colored buzzbait (white, shad, or translucent) is used to mimic natural, shallow-feeding forage like shad or bluegill in clear-to-stained water during bright, sunny conditions. These colors create a natural profile that convinces fish to strike when high visibility allows them to spot, and potentially reject, unnatural, louder props and other colors.

When and why to use Lees Compact Baitfish Buzzer. Chosen primarily for clear to stained water conditions. I will use this throughout the day even on a bright sunny day. Our bait provides the best silhouette for fish to spot against the surface. The baitfish color stands out better in clear or stained water, often triggering aggressive strikes from big bass.

Here is why to choose a baitfish colored buzzbait:

  • Best Bright/Low-Light Option: A baitfish lure with a translucent skirt or a white with colored skirts along with our scientifically cupped and pitched prop provides the sharpest, most defined silhouette for a fish looking up at a bright sunny sky or in stained water.
  • Effective in Stained/Clear Water: When visibility is good (better than 2 feet), baitfish colors offers a high-contrast profile compared to darker colors.
  • Ideal for Clear or Cloudy/Overcast Days: It is a go-to color for cloudy or rainy conditions, creating a clear target.
  • Mimics Natural Prey: baitfish colors mimic common forage items that are foraging on the surface.

Top Techniques & Retrieval for Lees Compact Baitfish Buzzer

  • The “Instant Start”: Close your bail as the lure hits the water and begin reeling immediately to keep it from sinking and to engage the props “gurgling” action right away. This instant start works well with Lees Compact Baitfish Buzzer, keeping the prop buzzing quickly above the water.
  • Speed Control: Retrieve as slowly as possible while still maintaining that “plop-plop-plop” surface sound. If fish are aggressive, “burn” the bait with a high-speed retrieve. The unique features of the White Baitfish Baby Buzzbait™ allows anglers to maintain a slow speed controlled with ease.
  • Deflect Off Cover: Purposefully bump the lure into dock posts, stumps, or weeds to trigger reaction bites. Anglers love how the W-Baitfish Baby Buzzbait™ can deflect off cover and entice fish.
  • Parallel the Bank: Cast parallel to the shoreline or grass edges to keep your bait in the strike zone longer. By paralleling the bank with a Baby Buzzbait™, you maximize strike potential.

  • Thin strand silicone skirt as seen on Lees scientifically advanced design model.
  • 0.35 thin wire, used for ideal action in Lees Buzzbait
  • Heads painted to match skirts color, a signature detail of my Topwater lure.
  • Super sharp extra long hook, is one of the items the Black buzzer topwater is known for.

The key to using Lees Compact Baitfish Buzzer is to imitate an injured, fleeing or dying baitfish.

Baby Buzzbait™ by Lee Bailey Jr is a world renowned design. Built with a thin wire and two wire adjustments. The “oxbow bend” taken from Bailey’s original Cavitron Buzzbait design. This bend is an engineered modification allowing the baits head to ride deeper in the water.

Lee uses 0.35 wire which has a lot more vibration than the standard 0.51 used on other buzzbaits. With the Baby Buzzbait™,  anglers benefit from these innovative modifications.

Lees Compact Baitfish Buzzer is most effective in cool to hot weather especially in the heat of summer. Game fish will crush the topwater buzzer when it ts cast into or near the thickest cover. In particular, Baby Buzzbait™ shines during these warmer months, especially in bright sky situations.

Choosing a baitfish color buzzbait anytime you are fishing in clear water no matter the time of day.

Key Tips for Using a Baitfish colored Buzzbait:
  • Pair with a Trailer: Add a translucent toad or trailer to increase the profile which improves hook-up ratios.
  • Use in Shallow Cover: Focus on fishing near structures such as docks, logs, or weed lines.
  • Slow it Down: A baitfish colored buzzbait can be retrieved slowly in cooler water and all day. It is important to keep the lure in the strike zone, a technique often used in the fall and winter.

Lees Compact Baitfish Buzzer is a basic color and used during bright skies in clear to semi clear water. The Baby Buzzbait™ also works well when used over thick grass in the middle of the day. If you’re looking for reliability in high-visibility conditions, White Baitfish is always a top choice.
